Gavin on occasions enters teams made up of his personal training clients to enter large races/events, with obstacle course races generally the most popular choice. Alongside races, regular activity socials are arranged (such as bike rides, moorland hikes etc) in order to keep members motivated and maintain social bonds. Gavin has also been asked as a high profile fitness expert to lead warm-ups for many large races such as the St Luke's Midnight Walk, Sports relief race and Plymouth 10k.
